    Management plan

    • Is the MPA management documented? Yes
    • Comments : This site has been recently extended to include a large marine area, core management plans (inc conservation objectives) are available for the original sites. Threats and pressures were assessed for the original sites during the LIFE N2K project (2015) and for the extended site in the standard data form for the site.
    • Are the measures to achieve the conservation objectives being implemented? Partial
    • Comments : Impacts for licensable activities are regulated through licensing and permitting processes. Not all unregulated activities have been assessed and/or addressed.
    • Is monitoring in place to assess if measures are working? Partial
    • Comments : Some condition monitoring occurs but is limited by resource constraints. Limited compliance monitoring occurs but is variable across regimes.
    • Is the MPA moving towards or has reached its conservation objectives? Partial
    • Comments : The features of the site were assessed by NRW only in 2018 (https://cdn.naturalresources.wales/media/683655/special-protection-areas-in-welsh-waters.pdf). Three features were assessed as favourable (manx shearwater, puffin and assemblage) while one feature was assessed as unfavourable (lesser black-backed gull). Condition assessment by WeBS 2011/12 - 2015/16 5 year peak mean wintering estimates.
